Call to order: 7:50 pm by Dean Koski

Review and acceptance of 10/01 minutes: motion of Dean Koski, seconded Mike Caffrey; approved by all members

7:55 – 8:25 Park Review:

Crawford Park: Dean (?Betty and Mike also) to meet with Hanover Engineers and Town Planner on 11/20/01. Also will discuss next Grant Proposal.
Pharo Park: Swings not yet installed – we were told equipment was available for installation June ’01 – why hasn’t it been installed??
Review HTCC Web Site – Suggest we have a park section which includes a description of each park; also include the P & R Advisory Board Mission Statement:

The Hanover Township Park & Recreation Advisory Board consist of 7 residents, elected by the Board of Supervisors, whose mission is to advise the Director of Recreation and Board of Supervisors. The P & R Board represent the best interest of the township residents regarding the safety, maintenance, development, and vision of the existing parks and designated open spaces.

***We will vote on accepting the mission statement at our next P & R meeting.

8:25 – 8:50 Betty: Discussion of hiring an outside company for equipment evaluation.

Betty researched the possibility of having an outside company evaluate 3 existing parks (College Hgts., Delta Manor, Village View) Regarding condition of existing equipment.

Letter from SSM is attached.

Recommendation that we send a person from our HT staff to attend upcoming Playground Safety Certification Course (December 11th & 12th). Cost $400.00
