MEMBERS PRESENT: Dean Koski, Micheal Caffrey, Joan Sarno, Betty Soltys, & Mike Stasak

Call to order: 7:50 pm by Dean Koski

Review and acceptance of 5/01 minutes: motion of Mike Stasak, seconded Betty Soltys; approved by all members

7:50-8:20 HTPR Director: Cathy Heimsoth

Tickets for fundraiser $5.00/each – 6/15/01

Art in the Park 6/2/01 very successful

Preschool Reading Program also very successful 5/23/01

Focus on Multi-generational programs

Refer to Summer Brochure for current programs

8:20- 8:30 Pharo Park Swings: Mike C.

Placement selected; will be installed by the end of this month.

3 bids - $1871 plus installation

Signs are up at both entrances/ safety signs

Recommendation: Gasper paved area: parking

Motion by Mike C. Seconded by Mike S. Approved by

all members present.

Get cars off the street/street: No parking signs specific radius

Maintain access to tennis wall/barrier from parking

Eliminate parking on Kim (West Side) 60’ to Pharo Park

Motion by Mike C. Seconded by Mike S. Approved by

all members present.

8:30 –8:50 Crawford Park: Dean

Township has a planner/ will use that group

Plan to have meeting with Schmalzer/planning group

Approved by BOS

KARA: Posssible - $$$ gov’t available for

development/conservation of

Parks. EPYSA will assist with proposal/grants

Requesting BOS support to legislatures to support this Act.

General comments concerning park safety: Research

possibility of Park Safety expert to assist with evaluating

our parks (site evaluation)
