Minutes 04/12/07

 

MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Betty Soltys, Karen Kennedy, Bob Roll, Alex Sahaydak, and Mike Stasak

 

7:40 PM:  Call to Order:  by Betty Soltys, seconded by Mike Stasak.

 

Review of minutes from March 2007:  Motion to approve by Mike Stasak, seconded by Alex Sahaydak.  Approved by all members.

 

7:45 PM:  Report from HTCC 

·        Maui Wowi Hawaiian, Inc. set up a concession stand inside HTCC on a 3-month trial basis.  HTCC will receive of portion of the net sales.

·        HTCC is currently hiring for seasonal help.

·        Usage of all facilities is up.  This includes field permits.

·        The Community Resource Guide is a new initiative designed to provide information for residents and members, provide revenue for the Community Center, and provide a platform for local businesses to dialogue with residents and members.

 

7:55 PM: Interview with Sallie Bartos

·        Sallie Bartos, a resident of Hanover Township, expressed an interest in becoming a member of the Recreation Advisory Board.

 

8:15 PM:  Walking Path

·        The RAB recommends the installation of a measured walking path within the Township, preferably located around the perimeter of the Municipal Tract. 

 

8:20 PM:  Crawford Park

·        Playground equipment for this park is scheduled for installation by 5/30/07.

 

8:35 PM:  Approval of New Member

·        After a brief discussion among RAB Members, Karen Kennedy recommended Sallie Bartos be approved to join the Recreation Advisory Board.  Bob Roll seconded the motion.

 

8:50 PM:  Motion to Adjourn

·        Betty Soltys motioned to adjourn meeting.  All members voted in favor.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 10, 2007.
