Minutes 08/09/06

 

MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Karen Kennedy, Bob Roll, Alex Sahaydak, Mike Stasak, and Betty Soltys

 

Call to order:  7:40 PM by Betty Soltys, seconded by Bob Roll. 

 

Review and approval of minutes from July 2006:  Motion to approve by Alex Sahaydak, seconded by Mike Stasak.

 

7:45:  Review of Open Space Plan:

·        The Recreation Advisory Board reviewed and was very impressed with the draft of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan.

 

·        For consistency, the RAB recommends correlating the park photos located in Appendix A of the document with the numbers designating the various parks on Map 4, page 16.

 

·        Additional questions will be discussed with the Township Manager.

 

8:45:  Community Day:

·        A survey was developed to distribute to residents on Community Day, which is scheduled for November 11, 2006.  The survey will be reviewed by all RAB members and discussed at September’s meeting.

 

·        A display will be presented on Community Day referencing photos and descriptions of the parks in Hanover Township.

 

9:00:  Park Reports:

 

·        Crawford Park has added one field to its upper field.  The park now has two upper fields and one lower field.

 

9:20:   Motion to Adjourn:

·        Betty Soltys motioned to adjourn the meeting

·        Karen Kennedy seconded the motion

 

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2006.
