MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Steve Crump, Karen Kennedy, Betty Soltys, and Mike Stasak

 

Call to order:  7:45 PM by Steve Crump, seconded by Betty Soltys.  Approved by all members.

 

Review of minutes from January 2006:  Motion to approve by Karen Kennedy, seconded by Mike Stasak.  Approved by all members.

 

7:50:­   Report from HTCC :

·        The Hanover Echo was recently distributed to all residents containing a great deal of information on upcoming Township events.  Included in the publication was a picture of the new slide at the pool.  A raffle is being held for the first person to slide down.  Additionally, HTCC members will receive a 20% Pool discount for summer, 2006.   

 

·        A decision has been made to wait until play structures are in place at Crawford Park before starting a summer parks program.

 

·        The first Bingo night held at HTCC was a great success.  Approximately 75 people attended.

 

 

8:05:   Report on Village View:

·        A Township resident is initiating a survey of  the Village View development to determine the current demographics.  There has been a large turnover and younger families are moving in.  Requests have been made for parks programs.  We will wait to receive the results of the survey so that the programs can be structured appropriately.

 

8:10     Report on Other Matters:

 

·        Trees will be planted at Crawford Park in spring, 2006.

 

8:15     Mission Statement:

 

The mission statement for the Recreation Advisory Board for Hanover Township’s Long Range Plan will read as follows:

 

 

 

Hanover Township Recreation Advisory Board Mission Statement:

 

Add to the quality of life and attractiveness of our community while continuing to meet the population’s needs for recreation and fitness in our parks, open space and Community Center.

 

Motion to approve by Steve Crump, seconded by Mike Stasak.  All members voted in favor.

 

8:30     Long Range Plan:

 

            The RAB  reviewed and approved the final draft of the Long Range Plan.
