Minutes 01/10/08

 

MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Sallie Bartos, Karen Kennedy, Bob Roll, Alex Sahaydak, and Betty Soltys

 

7:40 PM:  Call to Order:  by Betty Soltys, seconded by Sallie Bartos

 

Review of minutes from November 2007:  Motion to approve by Alex, seconded by Bob Roll.  Approved by all members.

 

7:45 PM: Report from HTCC

·        Rob Cepin, recently hired as Assistant Director of Recreation Programs and Aquatics reviewed the registration numbers for the fall and winter programs offered at HTCC.  He also discussed upcoming programs to be implemented for spring/summer 2008.   

 

8:15 PM:  Update on Village View Park

·        Jay Finnigan negotiated with LVIA for 14 acres of additional land at Village View Park.  This land will be developed into soccer fields, which will be utilized and maintained by Bethlehem Soccer Club. An implementation date has not yet been set.

 

8:30 PM:  Crawford Park

·        It was noted that during the recent snow removal, grass/sod was damaged around the sidewalk area.  Board Members have received numerous complaints about this.

 

·        Graffiti was seen on the benches and play structures.

 

 

8:45 PM:  Motion to Adjourn

·        Betty Soltys motioned to adjourn the meeting.  All members voted in favor.

 

 

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 14, 2008.
