Member Attendance: Betty Soltys, Alex Sahaydak, Mike Stasak, Bob Roll

 

Call to order: 7:40PM by Betty Soltys, seconded by Mike Stasak

 

Review of minutes from June 2006 meeting: Motion to approve by Bob Roll, seconded by Alex Sahaydak. Approved by all members

 

Report from HTCC: Representative from HTCC unable to attend so Betty Soltys gave the  report following a phone discussion.

            The Center and particularly the pool have been extremely busy

 

There has not been any immediate evidence that memberships to the Center have picked up due to the closing of neighboring centers.

 

The new equipment at the pool has been very popular and appreciated by the members.

 

The Community Center is proposing a Community Day in November to recognize the Ten Year Anniversary of the Center. The HTRB has been asked to participate in the program. The Board is reviewing various options in regard to this event

 

 

Report on Parks: The Climbing Bars have been removed from the parks at Delta Manor,                       Village View and College Heights. The Board agreed that this was a positive                    move and strongly supports the replacement of this equipment with new                              equipment at an early date       

The Tennis Courts at Pharo Park need regular attention and cleaning due to the amount on leaves and trash blowing in from adjacent trees.

The Fields at Crawford Park are very active with Soccer activity on both fields

 

New Business:  Due to the increased activity at the pool the Sun Shades were discussed. Alex Sahaydak moved and Bob Roll seconded that two new SunShades be installed at the pool for the comfort and protection of the pool members. All members approved.

 

9:15PM – Betty Soltys motioned to adjourn meeting. Mike Stasak seconded the motion
