MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Betty Soltys, Karen Kennedy, Steve Crump, Mike Stasak, and Bob Roll.

 

Call to order:  7:35 PM by Betty Soltys.  Motion to open the meeting by Betty

Soltys, seconded by Karen Kennedy.  Approved by all members. 

 

7:40:    HTCC Director’s Report:

 

·        Opening day for the pool was June 4, 2005.  The pool will be open daily after this date, which adds two weeks to the swim season.  Fran Taglang reported that the total number of memberships to date compared to last year is down 10%.  Total memberships are 400.

·        Community Day is Saturday, June 11, 2005.

·        The summer park programs and camps begin on June 13, 2005.

 

7:50:    Parks Report:

·        Pharo Park had graffiti painted on the tennis wall, therefore the wall had to be repainted.

 

 

8:00:    Crawford Playground:

·        Karen had been in touch with several vendors for playground equipment.  One question they had was whether they need to provide installation or safety mulch.  She was informed that the Township handles all installation and provides its own mulch.  Appointments will be set up for the vendors to view the areas and discuss playground structures suitable for 2 – 5 and 5 – 12 year age groups.

·        It was discussed that College Heights could be geared towards 5 – 12 year olds by installing climbing apparatuses. 

 

8:15:    Lacrosse Fields:        

·        Steve is seeking an open field for lacrosse for middle school aged kids in Hanover Township.  He is planning to check with BASD as well as Bath East Allen to see if any fields are available.

 

8:25      Motion to adjourn meeting by Betty Soltys.  Seconded by Bob Roll.    All members voted in favor.

 

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 14, 2005.
