Minutes 03/10/05

 

MEMBER ATTENDANCE:  Bill Hursh, Karen Kennedy, Steve Crump, Mike Stasak, and Alex Sahaydak.

 

Call to order:  8:00 PM by Karen Kennedy.  Motion to open the meeting by Karen Kennedy, seconded by Steve Crump.  Approved by all members. 

 

Review of February 2005 minutes: – Motion to approve by Karen Kennedy, seconded by Alex Sahaydak.  Approved by all members. 

 

8:05     HTCC Director’s Report:

 

·        Cathy reported that the new employees to the HTCC are continuing to acclimate themselves to their new jobs and progressing well.

·        A new credit card processing system has been implemented to facilitate payments more efficiently.

·        The summer park schedule will be adjusted to match the BASD’s summer schedule.  The parks program will begin on June 13, 2005.  

·        Several new summer programs were reviewed.  These, along with all spring and summer programs appear in the Hanover Township Recreation Booklet and will be mailed shortly.

 

8:40:    Soccer Goals: 

·        One pair of soccer goals was delivered to Crawford Park on Friday, March 4, 2005.   They have currently been placed in storage.    

 

8:45:    Walking/Bike Paths:

·        East Allen Park and Recreation Board contacted Bill Hursh regarding the park planned for Hanover Crossings North.  East Allen will be establishing a housing development that will abut our park area.  This development will have sidewalks, which will hopefully enable Hanover Township to connect its park as well as a bike/walking trail with East Allen Township at this location as opposed to connecting near Airport Road.  Bill is scheduling to meet with them to further discuss and gather more information.

 

8:50:    Crawford Playground:           

·        Jim Sterner will review the map provided by Hanover Engineering to verify the space allotted for a playground at Crawford Park.  Once this is approved, additional bids will be sought for obtaining playground equipment.

 

8:55      Motion to adjourn meeting by Mike Stasak.  Seconded by Steve Crump.    All members voted in favor.

 

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2005, and will be held at the Hanover Township Community Center.
