·        Dan Roman of the Shade Tree commission presented the RAB with a map showing approximately 20 trees to be planted at Crawford Park along the parking lot perimeter.  He will present this information to the Township Manager.

Dan also recommended to us to begin making a list of trees we would like to see in the parks in Hanove      r Township.  Each RAB member should pick up a park map at HTCC for the park they are responsible for and make notations for trees on these maps.  The information should be provided to Dan in the near future.

8:35 PM - Review of 2005/2006 RAB Budget Recommendations

·        RAB Members reviewed the Budget recommendations, which were submitted to the Board of Supervisors last month.

·        As part of budget review, we discussed the amount recommended to deter vandalism at Crawford Park by preventing cars from driving on fields.

o       Should additional funds be allocated for planting berm or fence to add as a deterrent in addition to trees that were discussed earlier in the meeting?

§         Fence may prove more of deterrent but there were concerns of giving the appearance of isolating the park.  Also, we briefly discussed if there would be additional work required to have to mow around the fence.

§         Planting berm may not be as effective of a deterrent as fence but would not give illusion of cordoning of field.

o       Members elected to leave original amount on budget.

·        All agreed on budget recommendations for remaining items as submitted.

8:47 PM - Motion to Adjourn

·        Bob Roll motioned to Adjourn Meeting

·        Steve Crump seconded motion

Next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2005.
