MEMBER ATTENDANCE: Karen Kennedy, Michael Caffrey, Dean Koski Bill Hursh and Mike Stasak.

Call to order: 7:40 PM by Dean Koski. Motion to open the meeting by Dean Koski, seconded by Bill Hursh. Approved by all members.

Review of August 2003 minutes – Motion to approve by Karen Kennedy, seconded by Bill Hursh. Approved by all members.

7:40 - 8:25 – Biking/Walking Trails Update

Karen Kennedy attended the Hanover Planning Commission meeting and presented an updated proposal for new trails generated by Hanover Engineering.
Representatives from Hanover Township attended the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission. $1.3 million are available, with the stipulation that they are used for transportation purposes. In addition, the land must be owned.

8:25 – 8:35 – Macada North – Basketball courts.

There have been residents requesting the addition of a basketball court. There is also correspondence from another resident adamantly opposing any basketball courts.
At this point in time of the new fiscal planning, the Board does not feel there is enough time to properly assess this issue, but will add this to the Board agenda.

8:35 to 8:40 – Budget discussion.

Present major budget items for the new fiscal year budget. The Board members are to list major items, both new and replacement, for a workshop to occur during the second half of September. The final list will be combined and submitted to the Township Manager.

8:45 to 8:50 – Park Updates

8:55 – Motion to close the meeting by Dean Koski, seconded by Mike Stasak. All members voted in favor.

Next meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2003.
