MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY
The Committee discussed "Make A Difference Day" and the many items
we will include in this day. The Express Times has agreed to cover one
of our events for 14 consecutive weeks.
National Penn Bank has agreed to assist with our events and will help
with advertising and setting up a special account for donations.
Irv Good mentioned that he would contact The Lion’s Club to see
if they can help out in some way.
IRON CHEF COMPETITION
We have tentative agreements from the chefs from Wegman’s, Holiday
Inn and Woodstone for this event. We will meet with the chefs in the
next couple weeks to discuss the menus.
We will need to contact wineries to see who would like to take part.
Once the tickets are sold we will need to work on seating arrangements, etc.
BANNER PROJECT
We should have a final price on the banners by next week. Businesses in
the township will be contacted regarding their interest in hanging a banner.
We already have several banners already sponsored.
FIRE POLICE AND APPRECIATION DAY
We were pleased with the turnout for our first event of this type.
We discussed having some sort of "sporting" competition for
volunteer fire and police people.
Natalie reviewed what she has written to be printed in the "Hanoverview"
regarding our events.
Motion to adjourn by Debbie Marshall, seconded by Rose Miller
