Hanover Township Special Events

Minutes - 3/17/04

 

 

 

In attendance: Michelle Michael-Mill, Rose Miller, Mary McCornac,

          Debbie Marshall, Natalie Miller

 

 

Natalie Miller reported that there are only 10 township banners remaining.

 

Natalie will get Mary McCornac a list of new businesses in the area to solicit for donations.

 

We have two sponsors for the t-shirts and only need one more.

 

Mary McCornac will call the Girl Scouts Council for a list of troops so we can invite them to our events.  She has already sent letters to the churches/synagogues in the area.

 

Earth Day - will be held from 12p.m. to 8 p.m..  Waste Management will provide the dumpsters for hazardous materials.  We will try to get volunteers from Liberty and Freedom for that day.  PA Releaf program has agreed to donate 900 white pine seedlings to pass out to the elementary schools in Hanover Township.

 

Donations - Wegmans and Giant have agreed to provide refreshments for certain events.

 

Family Fun Day - We have nine corporate teams for the Fear Factor game. PP & L has agreed to sponsor a game for this day.  We need to get volunteers for this day.

 

Iron Chef - will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm.  - will have cocktail hour before meal is served.    Valley Graphics has agreed to donate cost of the tickets and part of the program.
