
HANOVER TOWNSHIP SHADE TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING
April
26, 2004
The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory
Commission was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Hanover Township Municipal Building,
3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem PA
18017.
In attendance were
1. Upon the motion of Dan Roman, seconded by
Susan Scholl, the commission approved the minutes from the meeting of the STAC
dated February 23, 2004.
2. Discuss Permits: Reminder notices were sent to homeowners whose permit expires this spring and summer.
Witt’s Tree Service will provide a replacement tree
plan for Bridle Path Rd. after clearing out
hazardous trees.
3. Discuss Hanover Corporate Center 2: The plan was reviewed and discrepancies were noted on the varieties of street trees listed.
4. Discuss Park Tree Planting: Because of the weather, we could not survey
the parks as planned this evening. We
will do the survey on April 29th.
5. Report on Bennigan’s Replacement Trees: The Community Center replacement tree was supposed to be planted for Earth Day (4/22), but still is not planted. Two beech trees have been located, and we are still waiting for the final arrangements to be made.
6. Report on
Patriot Bank Replacement Trees:
7. New/Old Business: The Bethlehem Area School District will be reminded to mulch the new trees along Jacksonville Rd., which have been heavily damaged by lawn mowers.
The park tree mulching has been
completed except for the corner of Crawford and Harriet. Agroscape will be notified.
The
meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
