April 30, 2007
The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission was held at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017, at 6:30 PM.
In attendance were Joan Witiak, Daniel Roman, Susan Scholl, and David Zakeski.
1. Upon motion of Dan Roman, seconded by Susan Scholl, the minutes of the March 26, 2007, STAC meeting were approved.
2. Review Permits: Susan Scholl reviewed the new permits submitted. The properties that have not replaced trees by the 1-year deadline will be turned over to the Township for further action.
3. Park Tree Planting: Dan Roman suggested that we get input from the Recreation Advisory Board with regard to replacing trees at Westgate Park.
4. Review
Northgate I: There were no replacement trees shown or listed; there were no landscape trees shown or listed.
Traditions of America - Bridle Path: From the Sketch Plans submitted we could not determine if existing trees were planned for removal. No comments submitted at this time.
Airport Commons - Northgate II Lot 3: Our previous comments have been addressed satisfactorily. Trees must be staked when planted.
LVIP IV, Lot 12: Our previous comments have been addressed satisfactorily.
5. Old/New Business: The mulching of the park trees was completed.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, because of the Memorial Day holiday.
