                                                            MINUTES - MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 2004

 

 

IN ATTENDANCE:   Joan Witiak, Susan Scholl, Dan Roman, Linda Taylor

 

1.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  Minutes from August 2, 2004 approved.  Motion to approve made  by Dan Roman with Susan Scholl seconding.

 

2.  PERMITS:    Joan distributed lists of residents from whom we have received permits.  Discussion about reminder letters.  Joan will send reminders for October through November expiration dates. 

                                   

3.  PARK TREE PLANTING:   A discussion was held on the variety of trees good for the area and without major problems.   There are approximately 110 trees planned for a late fall/early spring park planting.   A list of tree varieties and the number of each needed will be compiled.  Dan will send bid requests to 4 or 5 nurseries at the end of September.

 

4.  2005 BUDGET:  The 2005 budget is due by September 30, 2004.  Our submission will be the same as last year.  The money in the 2004 budget for park tree watering was not used this summer.  However, in 2005 it may be needed.

 

5.  OLD/NEW BUSINESS:  A new supply of Tree Care brochures are ordered and will be ready by the next meeting.  

 

ADJOURNMENT:  Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.  The next meeting is Thursday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m.
