2. Report on Faulkner Subaru: No revised landscape plan, showing the trees removed and replacement trees, has been received.
3. Discuss Permits: Nothing new to report.
4. Discuss Early Spring Park Tree Planting: Because of the stormy weather on two December weekends, the evaluation of the parks was not done.
5. Discuss Spring Mulching: Susan Scholl has agreed to send out requests for cost estimates to five landscape firms for the 2004 park tree mulching project.
6. New Business:
The 2004 Meeting Schedule was distributed. Again this year we will meet on the last Monday of the month, except for May when we will meet the next day, Tuesday, June 1.
Bennigan’s Restaurant has not given the Township the three trees promised for the removal of the large Norway maple on Schoenersville Rd. Much effort was expended with the nursery and the landscaper, but nothing happened. Joan Witiak will pursue this issue.
An informative article was distributed on a new exotic pest (emerald ash borer) accidentally imported from Asia that has decimated ash trees in Michigan and Maryland. There is no treatment or cure for this pest.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Joan Witiak for Linda Taylor
