Hanover Township Shade Tree Commission Meeting

February 18, 2002

The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Commission was held at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18017 at 6:30 P.M.

In attendance were Joan Witiak, Jeff Waldron, David Zakeski and Daniel Roman.

1. Upon motion of Joan Witiak, seconded by Jeff Waldron, the Commission approved the agenda.

Upon motion of Jeff Waldron, seconded by Daniel Roman, the Commission approved the minutes from the meeting of the Shade Tree Commission dated January 21, 2001.

2. Tree bid list for spring planting:

The supervisors approved a bid for planting the 27 park trees. The planting is expected to take place in the next two weeks.

3. Spring mulching bids:

All the bids are in. The package will be submitted to the supervisors for approval.

4. Review tree list: On hold.

5. Review ordinances:

The tree ordinances of several local townships are being reviewed for comparison.

6. New business:

Dan Roman will contact the PA Urban & Community Forestry Council for membership information and recommended shade tree lists.

The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
