was held at
In attendance were: Daniel Roman, Susan Scholl, Joan Witiak, and Dave Zakeski
1. Upon the motion of Susan Scholl, seconded by Dan Roman, the commission approved the minutes from the meeting of the STAC dated January 26, 2004.
2. Discuss Permits: The removal of hazard and dead trees along Bridle Path Rd. was discussed.
3. Discuss Park Tree Planting: Because of the weather this year, there is not enough time available to mark sites and get bids out for an early spring planting. We will plan on a late fall planting for 2004.
4. Discuss Spring Mulching: Susan Scholl reported that two cost estimates for the 2004 park tree mulching project have been received. The deadline is February 27, 2004.
5. Discuss Lot 1, Hanover Corporate Center I: There were several problems with listing existing trees, listing replacement trees, the accuracy of the landscape requirements, and alternating tree varieties on streets.
Discuss Davis Subdivision: The number and variety of trees to be removed are not listed on the plan. Also, the replacement trees and locations are not listed on the plan.
6. Discuss Earth Day: Our primary role will be in suggesting tree varieties to plant at the Hanover and Asa Packer Elementary School locations.
7. New Business: Residents have questioned the responsibility for the trees along the pathway in the DeLuca development. We will try to clarify this issue.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Joan Witiak for Linda Taylor
