HANOVER TOWNSHIP SHADE TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION

MINUTES FROM MEETING OF JANUARY 31, 2005

6:30 P.M.

 

In Attendance:  Susan Scholl, Dan Roman, Dave Zakeski

                            Visitor:  Frank Colon

 

Approval of Minutes:  Minutes of the November 29, 2004 meeting were approved   unanimously with Dan Roman initiating the motion to approve, and Dave Zakeski as second.

 

  1. Review Permits: Permits were reviewed and the following comments made:

a.       Dan Roman will check the plans for the property on Place Road to determine if one or two trees need to be replaced.

    1. Dan will check the property on Greenfield to determine if a new permit needs to be sent.

                  c.  As per Joan’s notes, neither Dave or Dan could recall the trees in Hanover 

                 Farms in question.

    1. Susan advised the committee that she will be checking five properties to

      determine if  trees have been replaced.

    1. Susan also advised the committee that she will be handling the permits in

      the future.         

     

       3.  Park Tree Planting:  Dan Roman has sent out three more letters requesting bids with  

      February 10, 2005 as the deadline for submission.  Dan will also check on the 

possibility of  planting some trees adjacent to the new township building on Harriet  Lane.

          

  1. Mulching and Watering Bids:  Dave Zakeski will send out the bids for this service.

Deadline will be March 10, with mulching to be completed by May 1.  Tree mulching

figures were changed to a total of 451 trees.

     

  1. Review LVIP IV, Lot 13 Addition:  Joan has reviewed the plans and comments have been submitted.

 

  1. Old/New Business:  The Board of Supervisors has approved our budget request to cover mulching, watering, and pruning of park trees.

It was suggested that the Solicitor be contacted to address the issue of tree removal on the Southland Condo Property.

 

6.  Adjournment:  The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
