The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission
was held at the
In attendance were Joan Witiak, Daniel Roman, Susan Scholl, and David Zakeski. Also present were Ann Shanley and Frank Colon.
1. Upon
motion of Susan Scholl, seconded by Dan Roman, the minutes of the
2. The Permit process was reviewed with Frank Colon, and ways to streamline the process were discussed. At his recommendation, we will meet with the Zoning Officer to facilitate sending out Permits.
3. Review Permits: Susan Scholl reported on trees that have been planted and removed from the list, and new permits submitted.
4. Park Tree Planting: Dan Roman will contact several landscaping firms to discuss their ability to acquire and plant specific trees for this year’s planting.
5. Review
Commerce Bank: There was no listing of trees to be removed, no tree protection fence shown, a problem with the street trees and with the variety and number of replacement trees.
6. Old/New Business:
A listing of the 2008 meeting dates was distributed.
An article for the upcoming Hanoverview was discussed.
Mulching requirements for 2008 were discussed and will be finalized at the next meeting.
Ann Shanley will be recommended to the Board of Supervisors to fill the vacancy on this Commission.
