HANOVER TOWNSHIP SHADE TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING

 

November 26, 2007

 

 

The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission was held at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017, at 6:30 PM.

 

In attendance were Joan Witiak, Daniel Roman, Susan Scholl, and David Zakeski.

 

 

1.      Upon motion of Dave Zakeski, seconded by Dan Roman, the minutes of the October 29, 2007, STAC meeting were approved.

 

2.      Review Permits:  Susan Scholl reported on trees that have been planted, properties that still need trees, and new permits submitted.  The entire permit process was discussed and some changes will be suggested to simplify the process and get more timely results.

 

3.      Park Tree Planting Update:  Dan Roman reported that more trees were planted on the Township property east of the Municipal tract. 

 

4.   Ordinance Review:  Chapter 168: Trees was reviewed and discussed with regard to the duties of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission.

 

5.      Review

Ungerer & Co.:  There was a discrepancy in the number of landscape and replacement trees listed on the plan.

 

Hanover Corporate Center 2 - Lot 3:  Trees on the north side of CVS are too close to the building.

 

            Northgate I:  Recommend changing some tree varieties.

 

6.      Old/New Business:   

 

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
