HANOVER TOWNSHIP SHADE TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION

                        MINUTES FROM MEETING OF NOVEMBER 29, 2004

                                                            6:30 P.M.

 

IN ATTENDANCE:    Joan Witiak, Dan Roman, Susan Scholl, Dave Zakeski, Linda Taylor

 

1.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES:   Minutes from October 25, 2004 meeting were approved unanimously

 

2.  REVIEW PERMITS:  Discussion about outstanding permits and residents who replace trees.  Joan sent

                                    reminder letters to residents whose permits are about to expire.  Discussion about

                                    the difficulties with new owners of a property whose former owner did not

                                    replace trees.  Discussion about improperly planted new trees which die.

 

3.  PARK TREE PLANTING:  There are 29 trees to be planted, with 8 different varieties. 

                                    Bids will go out at the end of the week, but it is too wet to plant by the end of

                                    the year.  Planting may be in February, if weather allows.

 

4. OLD/NEW BUSINESS:  Southland Condos were considering cutting down some trees around the condos to

                                    save money on maintenance.  Joan will request the landscape plan for the condos.

                                    Discussion about who enforces this plan.  Joan will investigate.

                                               

ADJOURNMENT:      Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.

 

NEXT MEETING:       Then next meeting will be January 31, 2005.
