The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission

1. Upon
motion of David Zakeski, seconded by Susan Scholl, the minutes of the
2. Review Permits: Reminder calls or letters will be sent to property owners who have not replaced their trees.
3. Park Tree Planting: The low bid from Root’s Nurseries was approved by the Supervisors. Dan Roman will meet with Kevin Healy to confirm the location of the 20 new trees.
4. Review LVCC Lot 12: The engineer did not receive the Shade Tree comments from last month. However, most of the former problems were resolved. The plan still needs more large deciduous trees for the general landscape requirement.
Review Jaindl Land Co., Hanover Corp. Center 2: We recommend some changes in the tree varieties. Also will recommend moving some replacement trees to a better location.
5. Old/New Business: Patriot/Susquehanna Bank will replace the dead/leaning trees in our parks. Must contact branch manager to discuss damage to large ash tree on bank property.
