HANOVER TOWNSHIP SHADE TREE ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING

 

September 7, 2005

 

6:30 P.M.

 

The monthly meeting of the Shade Tree Advisory Commission was held at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017.

 

In attendance were Joan Witiak, Daniel Roman, Susan Scholl, and David Zakeski.

 

1.      Upon motion of Dan Roman, seconded by Susan Scholl, the minutes of the July 25, 2005, STAC meeting were approved.

 

2.      Review Permits:  Reminder calls will be made to property owners who have not replaced their trees.  Almost all trees have been planted for expiring permits.

 

3.      Park Tree Planting:  Dan Roman will send out bids for a fall park tree planting to six nurseries this week.

 

4.      Review Lot 2 Hanover Highlands, Posh Properties:  No landscape plan to review

 

Review Dewire Estates:  The plan is still difficult to read.  Comments were made regarding tree protection and removal and street tree placement.

 

5.      Budget:  The budget for 2006 was discussed.  The approximate cost of tree watering will have to be obtained before the budget can be submitted.

 

Next meeting is scheduled for September 26, 2005, at 6:30 P.M.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
